FAMILY MEMBERSHIP
All Alameda residents are welcome
to join the Alameda Swimming Pool Association. An annual
membership allows all members of a household access to both Lincoln
and Franklin pools during the swim season of April through October.
Membership is good a period of one year (April 1 - March 31)
at a cost of $355 per household.
The ASPA has been able to maintain this low annual rate because of
very dedicated volunteers. A requirement of membership is
that each adult member must fill 2-3 volunteer shifts during
evening or weekend family swim times at the pool. Lifeguard
skills are not necessary for these shifts.

KEY HOLDERS
For those who enjoy swimming and wish to be able to use the pool at
times other than family swim, a pool guard course is provided in
the spring and the fall. Those passing the course and completing an
approved CPR course portion may have their own gate key and office
key to the pools. The key holder's 2-3 volunteer shifts will
consist of lifeguard duty during evening or weekend family swim
times. The key holder may use either pool at any off time that
programs or maintenance are not scheduled provided they abide by
ASPA safety rules.
